Privacy
Short version: this site collects one thing, your email address, and only if you give it to receive the newsletter. No cookies, no analytics, no tracking.
Who is responsible
Nicolas Auvinet, a private individual based in France, acting in a personal capacity. Contact: nicolas@auvi.net. This site is personal and not operated by any employer.
What is collected, and why
- Your email address and the date you signed up, when you subscribe to The Monday After.
- Purpose: sending you the newsletter, about once a month. Nothing else. Your address is never sold or shared for marketing.
- Legal basis: your consent (GDPR, Article 6(1)(a)), given with the checkbox on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
Where it is stored
The newsletter is sent with Substack, Inc., based in the United States. When you sign up here, your address is first held in a database run by Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts this site. At least once a month, new sign-ups are imported into Substack, then deleted from that database. From then on, your address is held by Substack only, under its own privacy policy. Like most newsletter services, Substack measures whether issues are opened and which links are clicked.
How long
Until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe link, which removes you from the list in Substack.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to nicolas@auvi.net. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
No tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Fonts are served from this domain, not from a third party. Hosting is provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA).
